Our Commitment

Texas Capital Dental is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and continually work to improve the accessibility of our site.

Measures We Have Taken

We have implemented the following accessibility features on this website:

• Skip to main content — a keyboard-accessible link at the top of every page allows users to bypass navigation and jump directly to page content
• Semantic HTML — pages use proper heading structure, landmark regions, table headers, list markup, and meaningful element roles
• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard; the mobile menu traps focus while open and closes on Escape
• Active page indicator — aria-current="page" is applied to the current page's navigation link so screen reader users always know where they are
• ARIA labels — navigation, buttons, cards, and interactive controls include concise descriptive labels for screen readers
• Decorative content hidden — purely decorative symbols, emoji, and icons are marked aria-hidden="true" so screen readers skip them
• Alt text — all informational images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
• Color contrast — all text and interactive elements meet the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
• Form accessibility — all form fields have explicit labels, required fields are marked with aria-required, errors are announced via aria-live regions, and submission status is communicated to screen reader users
• Responsive design — the site adapts to all screen sizes, including mobile devices and zoomed viewports up to 400%
• Language declaration — the page language is declared in the HTML element; it updates dynamically when Spanish translation is active
• Spanish translation — a Google Translate toggle is available in the navigation to translate the site into Spanish

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards:

• Third-party content (Google Translate widget, embedded maps) may have accessibility limitations outside our control
• PDF documents will be reviewed for accessibility before publication
